With passionate and powerful vocals over a 3-octave range, front woman Donna Hourigan seduces with a voice that runs the gamut from joyous and playful to raw and soulful. Her lyrics are straight from the rough & tumble of life inviting you into a love affair with the unvarnished truth.
On stage The Turnaround is electric! Vocal combinations from all 4 members and stirring instrumental arrangements make for a big sound! The energy is high and the humour is entertaining!
Son, Joel Hourigan, shows that talent definitely runs in this family with musical instinct and ability usually found in someone much older; mastering a variety of styles with guitar solos that are slick & full of energy. Donna swells the sound with keys & guitar, while brothers in rhythm Darren Griffiths on bass & the dynamic Jasper Warmington on drums lay down the groove for that original “Turnaround" style.
This year’s festival will be an encore performance for Donna & the boys (previously as “The Lucky Lips Band” in 2019)…and they just can’t wait to to be back!
